Notes on entries already in the main list
These are possible updates or identity checks, rather than automatic additions to this supplement.
- Delaware Valley Chess Club: your directory says Clifton Heights, address/time unconfirmed. Radnor Memorial Library's current September–December 2026 listing explicitly says Delaware Valley Chess Club meets there Wednesdays 2–5 pm, all ages/levels. Likely a location update; verify identity before merging. October 7 library-system listing.
- CPA Chess: your entry says Philadelphia area, with meeting information unconfirmed. PSCF also lists CPA Hershey Chess Club at Hershey Public Library. Host confirms Leteef Street leads its group. Add a Hershey meeting location/subentry only after establishing how CPA's branches should be represented. Hershey host.
- Easton Chess Club: PSCF lists Sunday play at Palmer Park Mall; your Lehigh Valley Chess Association entry already names Easton. Establish independent club versus LVCA location before counting another club.
- Paoli Chess Club: the observed directory has Mainline Chess And Games but not a separate Paoli Chess Club row. If the directory is intended to show public clubs, your own Wednesday PCC group merits its own row distinct from its host business. This finding is from the live directory and project context, not an independently searched organizer calendar.
Historical entries and research exclusions
- Franklin Mercantile Chess Club: do not add as currently active from historical references. June 2026 Inquirer reporting says it closed during the pandemic. Reporting.
- Bristol Knights: Heisman directory says its email no longer works and questions whether it is defunct. Keep as unverified historical lead, not an active club.
- Existing North Penn, Chaturanga, Amity, Main Line, Marywood, Rittenhouse, Park Avenue, West Chester, Tri-Bridges, Lower Bucks and Lehigh Valley entries were not counted as additions.
- Search results for Montgomery County libraries often mean Maryland. Bethlehem Public Library in Delmar is New York; the Pennsylvania host is Bethlehem Area Public Library. Pike County library chess results often mean Kentucky. Lancaster chess results frequently mean England or California. Those out-of-state hits were excluded.
